To make mobile connectivity
fair and verifiable everywhere.
By turning the gap between what operators claim and what citizens experience into independent, auditable evidence that regulators can act on.
To become the world's independent standard for network-coverage truth.
The reference that regulators, operators and institutions cite — built first for the markets that global telcos and Western mapping platforms overlook.
MAPFIX's Value Proposition
Citizens live the reality.
We measure the delta.
MAPFIX mitigates the ambiguity associated with corporate telecommunications agreements by providing objective data to help organisations evaluate mobile network performance. It offers procurement teams concrete evidence to verify adherence to service level agreements (SLAs), secure reimbursement for unmet commitments, and negotiate improved contracts during renewal processes.
Hotel and Accommodation
Protect your revenue and create a better experience for your guests.
Even though mobile network operators (MNOs) often claim 100% coverage, gaps can still arise. These disruptions, such as point-of-sale terminals losing their connection, can affect your income. Additionally, areas without coverage might lead to negative reviews that could impact your reputation. MAPFIX is here to help by recording your geographical coverage, providing asset managers with clear evidence to work with operators and ensure your guests enjoy a seamless, uninterrupted stay.

One app. Two modes.
The user decides.
When you download the MAPFIX app, you choose how you want to contribute. In manual active mode, you open the app and record a network measurement at your location. In automatic passive mode, the app monitors network conditions discreetly and continuously in the background, without requiring any action from you and with no noticeable impact on battery consumption. You can change your choice at any time.
Active mode captures what you choose to report. Passive mode captures everything — producing around 50,000 measurements per month from the same devices that would generate only 500 manual pings. That is the difference between a sample and a census.
The citizen app records individual network failures.
Passive mode, running on the same app with the user's consent, produces the measurement volume that makes the dataset a census rather than a sample.
Evidence, formatted for your contract renewal.
| Package | What you get | Pricing |
|---|---|---|
| Site Delta Audit | A 30-day passive measurement of your premises, covering all four UK mobile network operators. You receive a signed PDF evidence report with building-by-building signal grades, a Delta comparison of claimed versus actual coverage, and a machine-readable JSON export for your procurement or IT risk team. | Based on site capacity |
| Pre-Deployment Assessment | Before selecting an MNO or installing IoT SIM cards, MAPFIX tests all four operators on-site and ranks them by real measured performance. The report identifies the strongest network for your specific location, highlights dead zones by floor or zone, and gives your procurement team an objective basis for SIM selection, DAS planning or MNO negotiation. | Based on site scope |
| Continuous Monitoring | Ongoing passive measurement with quarterly evidence reports and real-time degradation alerts. Tracks whether your MNO is maintaining the SLA over time, detects seasonal or infrastructure-related signal drops, and generates a documented audit trail you can present at contract renewal to negotiate better terms or claim SLA credits. | Based on site capacity |
| Multi-Site Portfolio | For organisations operating across multiple buildings or regions. A centralised dashboard ranks all your sites by network quality, flags underperforming locations, and generates a procurement-ready comparison pack. Designed for estates teams, facilities managers and group IT departments managing hotel chains, hospital trusts, university estates or retail portfolios. | Custom quote |

The gap between promised and actual connectivity has never been independently measured.
Over 3 billion people experience a connectivity gap they pay for. Operators self-report coverage. Regulators have no independent mechanism to verify it. MAPFIX captures failure events in dead zones where conventional tools cannot operate at all.
The gap has always existed.
Now it has a record.
These are illustrative examples representative of the kinds of failure events MAPFIX is built to document — across markets, operators and regulators.
The operator says 4G. My phone says no signal. I have been saying this for three years. No one writes it down.
We cannot transfer patient records when we need to. The network simply does not exist where the coverage map says it does.
My farm is twelve miles from town. The operator's coverage checker says full signal. I have one bar on a good day, nothing when it rains.
I lose signal on the same stretch of the M4 every morning. Every morning for four years. Vodafone's map shows continuous coverage the entire route.
My commune is listed as covered. I filed a complaint with ARCEP. They asked me to prove it. I had no way to prove it. MAPFIX is that way.
The operator told the regulator they cover this area. I am in this area. I have no signal. Someone is wrong — and now there is a way to say so.
All testimonials are illustrative examples representative of beta engagement and published connectivity complaint data. Real engagement data is held under confidentiality and submitted only to the relevant regulatory authority. Regulators named (ART, ARTP, ANRTIC, Ofcom, ARCEP) are cited as the relevant jurisdiction authority, not as MAPFIX clients or partners.
Why I built MAPFIX
I spent several years working in hospitality, where a single bad review can damage a brand permanently. When a guest had a poor experience, we did not argue — we offered an extra night or a 20 to 40 per cent refund, because protecting the brand was worth more than winning the argument.
Then I would leave work and commute home using the London Tube with no mobile signal. Every day. The same dead zones. The same dropped calls. At the end of the month, the bill arrived in full. No adjustment. No apology. Just the full amount, as if nothing had failed.
I calculated it once. Between 2019 and 2026, I paid over £3,500 in mobile bills. For roughly 220 hours of that period, I had no usable signal. That is nearly £500 I paid for nothing. No refund. No credit. No acknowledgement.
In Cameroon, where I grew up, the situation is not just worse — it is invisible. A teacher outside Yaoundé pays the same tariff as a banker in Paris for a connection that barely exists. The tools to prove it do not exist. The regulator suspects the gap but has no independent mechanism to measure it.
I am British and Cameroonian. That is not a biographical detail — it is the reason MAPFIX will succeed where Western platforms have failed. I do not need a cultural liaison to speak to ART Cameroon. I do not need a translator in Douala. I grew up in the connectivity gap. I am building the evidence from inside it.
The contrast between an industry that compensates every failure and an industry that ignores them — that is where MAPFIX came from.
MAPFIX is not a speed test. It is not a consumer complaint app. It is not a replacement for the regulator's existing instruments. It is the independent corroborating layer that runs continuously, in every cell of the jurisdiction.

Evidence delivered
Aggregated H3-cell data delivered as signed PDF + JSON to regulators.
Every screen. Every step. Designed for the field.
From first launch to regulator-grade evidence — across all 12 screens.
Choose your language
The first thing the app does is ask what language the citizen speaks. MAPFIX is built for people — not for the markets they live in.
- English, Français, Español, Português — four languages from first launch
- Auto-detects device locale — defaults to French in Francophone Africa
- Every string, every screen, every modal fully translated
Privacy Statement
MAPFIX makes a legal commitment before collecting a single byte. Plain language, fully translated, specifying exactly what is collected — and what never will be.
- UK GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) — legitimate interests — formally documented
- Coordinates truncated to ~110m on-device — raw GPS never transmitted
- ICO registered ZC135494 — prominently displayed
Join MAPFIX
No email. No password. A phone number is how two billion people in MAPFIX's target markets authenticate — from WhatsApp to M-Pesa. Equatorial Guinea pinned first.
- 🇬🇶 Equatorial Guinea pinned as priority #1 — +240 default
- 166 countries total — 15 priority markets, CEMAC first
- OTP verification — no password to remember

The trust layer that converts citizen signals into auditable network truth
Regulators cannot act on raw citizen reports alone. MAPFIX proves six things simultaneously — making it the only platform whose evidence stands up in enforcement proceedings.
Cryptographic timestamp. OS-level device attestation. Duplicate detection. The event really happened.
H3 truncation to ~110m. SIM carrier auto-detection. Tower cross-reference. Location and operator confirmed.
Failure type validated against signal strength and conditions. Rules documented and versioned.
Rate limiting per device per H3 cell. Anomaly detection. Sybil resistance. Manipulation is detected and excluded.
On-device H3 truncation. ≥5 pings from ≥3 devices per cell. GDPR by design. ICO ZC135494.
Immutable audit log. Versioned ETL pipeline. Published open methodology. Every indicator linked to a pipeline version.

Regulator-grade evidence. Operator-grade insight.
For regulators
- Independent QoS evidence sourced from citizens — not operators
- Delta between operator claimed coverage and on-the-ground reality By 2030, the same Delta data feeds an adaptive model that projects where coverage will degrade — turning evidence into early warning.
- Formatted PDF evidence summary for enforcement and licensing
- Machine-readable JSON for integration with existing audit systems
- H3 cell-level spatial resolution — sub-kilometre accuracy
For operators
- Investment priority heatmap — where capital improves signal fastest
- Failure density by carrier, by cell, by radio type
- H3 cell drill-down from national view to street level
- Time-series analysis — identify degradation trends early
- Carrier comparison — benchmark performance against competitors
A foundation built to institutional standard.
